  2. The pattern is what matters. Does the star in the middle match the pattern of starts running through the center?

    1. "Lord" knows I'm gonna regret this -- but Rob, "What makes you an authority on the flag" ?
Where (and if so WHEN) is it written that all the stars on the Battle Flag must be aligned, be the same size, spaced just so ------
Patterns vary from flags that I have seen from the war, Hand made flags that were sewn by the women of the south.
Some flags have no center star at all -- First Regiment of Florida Volunteer Infantry Flag is one of such.
I "think" (and I often get in trouble for doing such) that the concept of the stars being matched and aligned "Just So" is an idea that modern era flag makers came up with. But I've been wrong before !

  3. Flags have patterns. Look at the ones above, all of them have patterns. Ones that do not have patterns, are usually "burners". Things that exist on the side, not mainstream
